What is the AHL?

The AHL (AKA Adult Hockey League) is our version of recreational hockey for adults ages 18 & older. The skill level varies throughout the league with the ranges from beginner through advanced. Four separate skill divisions have been created to ensure enjoyment for all levels of players. All AHL games are conducted at the Channel Islands Ice Center.  The AHL is open to any player that has the desire to play hockey. Players will not be turned away because of skill level. It is the goal of the CIIC Hockey Staff to grow the sport of ice hockey through the development of FUN, informative, grassroots leagues such as the AHL. Teams play an officiated game once per week during the season. Two seasons are offered every calendar year.
